The children of the Pre Primary celebrated the Gita Jayanthi with utmost dedication and devotion. The Preparatory I chanted the 16th Chapter of the Gita and the Preparatory II chanted the 17th Chapter of the Gita.
Bhagavad Gita is a spiritual treasure that guides us with the right path to live a life of contentment. Its significance and importance cannot be denied in the present world. It can be considered the need of the hour as today’s world is torn apart under the powerful disruptive forces of lust, anger, greed, egoism, Infatuation and jealousy.
In the 16th Chapter- Daivasura Sampadh Vibhaga Yogaha, Lord Krishna talks about the two human traits, the divine and the demoniac traits. He counsels that to attain the supreme destination, one must give up lust, anger and greed, and discern between right and wrong. He said, those who possess demoniac qualities and who live whimsically without following the regulations of the scripture, attain hell-like existence. But those who possess divine qualities and live regulated lives gradually attain spiritual existence.
In the 17th chapter “Shraddhatraya Vibhaga Yogaha, Lord Krishna goes deeper into the subject. Here, he talks about the three divisions of faith and the thoughts, deeds and even eating habits corresponding to the three gunas.
