Coorg, also known as Kodagu is a beautiful hill station. This exotic place is a breath of fresh air for all nature lovers. From coffee plantation to lip smacking cuisine, you name it and Coorg has it all.  Driving through the routes of Bangalore – Maddur – Mandya –  Srirangapatna – Mysore – Hunsur – Coorg is around 8 hours of journey.

 Popular places to be visited in Coorg are; Talacauvery, Bhagamandala, Abbey falls, Irupu falls, Cauvery Nisargadama (Deer park), Dubbare elephant camp, Nagarahole, Mandalpatti, Omkareshwara temple, Rajaeat, Bylakuppe, The Golden Temple and Malalli falls to name a few. 

 Coorg is famous for coffee especially the Robusta variety of coffee, cardamom, eucalyptus trees,  vanilla trees, black pepper and bamboo.

 Kodava cuisine is almost incomplete without non-vegetarian umpteenth number of rice preparation like; akki roti, paputtu, nuputtu, pulao of different tastes, bamboo curry, mushroom, and jackfruit pickles. Honey from Coorg is also famous.

 Homemade wine from grapes, gooseberries, betal leaves, ginger, pineapple and banana are special in Coorg.

Coorg is a must visit place. It is a slice of heaven, The Scotland of India.
