As part of our initiative to promote healthy eating, the school organized a session on “Awareness on Sugar Alternatives” to educate students about the effects of excessive white sugar consumption and introduce healthier substitutes. The session began with an eye-opening video on the manufacturing of white sugar, encouraging students to reflect on their sugar intake. This was followed by a live demonstration of preparing Honey Mint Lemonade by Grade 4, showing how natural sweeteners like honey can create refreshing drinks without refined sugar.
Students of Grade 3 participated in creative poster-making on fruits, highlighting their natural sweetness and health benefits while Grade 5 children shared dessert recipes using alternatives like jaggery, dates, and fruit purees. These engaging activities not only sparked interest in healthy eating but also empowered students to make mindful and nutritious food choices.
