SUPW Club – Jute Bag Painting Activity
As part of the SUPW (Socially Useful Productive Work) Club Activity, the students of Grade
7 of Poornaprajna Education Centre participated in a fun and meaningful Jute Bag Painting
session on 5th July 2025, under the guidance of Mrs. Mallika S.
This hands-on activity encouraged students to bring out their creativity while promoting
eco-awareness. With simple materials like pastels, permanent markers, and fabric glue,
the children learned to design and decorate eco-friendly jute bags. They inserted cardboard
inside the bags to prevent colour bleeding, sketched their ideas lightly, and brought their
imagination to life with vibrant colours and beautiful embellishments like sequins and
glitter.
Through this activity, students not only learned a valuable craft but also understood the
importance of sustainable practices and the joy of handmade art. It was a wonderful blend
of creativity, skill-building, and environmental consciousness.
